To be Bodhisattva in action
On 15 March 2014, I took part in putting up a safety fence for frogs along a very busy road skirting the Sauer River. This fence will prevent amphibians from being run over when they go on their spring spawning. After what, they'll go back to the forest, which is their summer and winter habitat.
The idea is that the frogs go along the fence until they fall or jump into buckets we placed in the ground. Then a team-mate transports these buckets every morning or evening, to the spawning grounds. This way, they escape being run over by cars and furthermore, motorists themselves are also protected from many accidents caused when trying to avoid them.
Hereunder you'll find few pictures of this action
