Tarot of the cats

Tarot of the Cats – Christian Godin

Friday 16th November 2012, after an exhausting day of editing his next movie, Alejandro Jodorowsky, at his best of 83 years of boundless creativity, had kindly accepted to receive us in his Parisian flat for a friendly interview about his latest production « The Tarot of the Cats », illustrated by Christian Gaudin and recently published by the Editions du Relié.

The Butsu Zen Zone crew, Geneviève, Serena, Karin and Master Banane, assisted by the sound engineer Patrick Larue, got its headquarters in the office-dojo of Jodo for a web interview, in the midst of his grotto-library and before his personal Mexican altar.

— Why such a cute and so different Tarot from your regular production, Master Jodo ?

Mexican Shaman, esotericism, poetry, philosophy, childhood, zen koans, his life amongst cats and tarots, Jodorowsky, who was initiated to zen in Mexico in the 50’ by a Soto Monk, tells us few lightening stories on cats and his two loves: Pepe and Kazan. Twelve minutes of happiness in an uncut version.

Thank you so much to Jodorowsky for his warm hospitality and to the whole team for the joyful shooting and more particularly to the film director Geneviève Gauckler who gathered 18 years of resources of practice of zen meditation not to freak out during the endless upload of the video on Youtube.

Please excuse the few flaws left… wink
